Such is the essence of Patchouli.
What is it that makes so many of us captured by this essence?
It really does smell of dirt when you really think about it.
But dirt and sweat and the natural essence of "you" combine to make it one of the most delicious, seductive scents that I know.
It's appeal for me is its incense quality. My love of fragrances originated with the smell of smoke coming from an open fire during a camping trip one summer while attending boarding school in New Hampshire. I've learned to associate the smell of incense with comfort and joy and good times. So my favorite scents tend to be the earthy sorts such as frankincense, amber, aloeswood and PATCHOULI. And many of my personal blends tend to be towards this sort.
But really PATCHOULI is historically a spiritually grounding oil. Think of it as bringing you back down to reality, to the earth. It helps you to put things in perspective. It reduces mental fatigue, can sharpen intelligence, improve concentration and provide insight.
And of course, PATCHOULI is also an aphrodisiac.

Patchouli Musk (10 ml roll-on)
One of my personal favorites, this blend contains Indian Patchouli tempered with a blue Egyptian Musk. A very tenacious scent that will have you smelling like patchouli and musk for days!! I think this is the scent that everyone smells when they come into my home and when I go out and have not put on perfume. This is what lingers in my hair and clothes. You will rarely have to reapply this one in the course of a day. A little indeed goes a long way.
Did you know 20% of people can not smell musk? If you are one of the lucky few that can, this is a clean scent to me reminiscent of what you would smell like after an outdoor shower under a waterfall surrounded by woods. If you adore Egyptian Musk and also like Patchouli, I think you will love this one. And if you are not quite a patchouli fan (yet), try this one as it is not as strong on the patchouli, but it is still there underneath it all.
